My Initial Take

here is the way I felt in the spring/summer of 2016 about Trump running for office -

safe to assume if you want to be president of the united states, one of the reasons is because you love the country. so when the country you love divides itself so deeply that it becomes violent, wouldn't you do anything in your power to help or even save that country?

And then he got elected......

I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean obviously people wanted him otherwise he wouldn't have gotten elected.

But then the tweets, the comments, the news reports started. And I couldn't believe what was going on....the disrespect of the position was clear.
